A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Does anyone know the weight of the different available rims?
I read somewhere that the Track rims are about 18 lbs per, but the other rims can be as much as 6 to 8 pounds heavier.
Specifically, the 35th A.E. rim seems to be a heavy wheel, perhaps explaining its slower acceleration times?
A:
well, the more money you spend, the lighter they will be. Most of the time
My rims are 35lbs, very light! All chrome, and all sexy.

Laws of Physics - the heavier a rotational mass, the more power it takes to turn it, so the heavier the wheels, the slower you will go.
A:
Yeah, so I guess I should rephrase the question to say:
What are the weights of the stock rims?
1) The 17 inch 7 spoker (found on the Base model)
2) The 18 inch 6 spoker (found on the Performance model)
3) The 18 inch 5 spoker (found on the 35AE)
On the Nissan website, it says that the other rims are "aluminum alloy" but makes no comments on forged v. cast (but I'm assuming they're cast).
A:
17's = 25-26lbs
18's perf = 25 lbs
18AE = not too sure that infos a little obscure since very few people are switching them out. but they are cast not forged so im sure theyre heavier than the tracks but probably not any heavier than the 17's.
