Are you burning too much oil??

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Look for leaks. If no leaks, look at the inside of your exhaust pipe. If you're burning oil, there should be an oily residue. If no residue, then you might want to examine how you're checking your oil. Check it ice cold before you leave. When you return, leave the car until it's cold, and then check. You might--I hope--be surprised.

Yeah... you got a real problem... My Z has not burned any oil.
I get it changed every 3k miles and no problems at all. Synthetic
oil will slip through rubber seals but I don't use Syn... just Valvolyne.

I use redline synthetic and don't burn one drop.

I got 67K miles on my 2003 Track. I do full after-burner takeoffs on freeway onramps, drive it near redline a lot on mountain roads and freeways. In short, I hammer the thing.

I use plain vanilla oil - what ever the dealer puts in, and certainly not synthetic. No oil burning, leaks or other mysterious missing oil problems. My clutch throughout bearing is another story though :-)
