A&Q about 350Z
Q:
My dad bought an ethusiast with auto tranny and he wants to go to 18 inch rims and new tires. The dealer says that he will have no problems with his traction control system as long as the tire/rim combo matches the same as what he has now. But I thought that some people did have some problem with the system coming on becouse the computer detected different tire speeds. Is this true? Can anyone let me know if they put new tires on and what problems, if any, they may have had? I think that they are just trying to sell my dad some new expensive tires and will tell him what ever it takes to make the sale.
Thanks for what ever info anybody may have.

I replaced my stock 17" wheels with the stock 18" wheels without experiencing any problems. You figured if Nissan would sell you a wheel option, then they wouldn't have to make any changes to the sensors.

Thanks for the input and I will pass this on to my dad.

While I've heard of some +1 or +2 packages goofing up the vdc, most won't. I have 19"x9 +26 offset 245 fronts, and 19"x10 +19 offset 275 rears, with no problems at all.
Believe only what you think, not what you feel.
