A&Q about 350Z
Q:
i dont think 24.5 is that much below blue book, but depends on what year/trim. i mean the G is a nice car no doubt. mechanically its pretty much the same as the Z. Its a really good performing sport coupe, a bit more luxurios and comfortable than the Z with 2 extra seats. I mean if youre trying to step up luxury wise it'll be a nice step up, performance wise not sure what your zx was capable of so i dont know. For 24.5 you could find a real nice low mileage 350Z though. Probly an 05 with 15k miles. only real way to tell if you'll be happy is to test drive it though
case in point with the Z, and its an anniversary fullly loaded, buy it now of 24k

Depends first of all on whether your 300 was a Z31 or Z32, and if it was a turbo or n/a.
I have driven both the G and the Z. The G is an exciting drive, quick and nimble, with good power. When driving it, I generally wanted to punch it here and there, enjoy the pep.
With the Z, when i was driving, it didn't matter where I was or what I was doing, it made me feel like going 100 mph and taking every corner like it was the final turn of the race and I had a .5 second margin over second. Like my life depended on how fast I got to my destination. Not to mention the confidence it inspires behind the wheel.
You really can feel the difference between "luxury sports coupe" and "purebred sportscar".
My opinion...leave the G for those seeking a luxury car with a little thrill, and get the car that rewards real driving with real results.
Plus, a stock manual Z will ALWAYS beat a stock manual G at the track with equally talented drivers.
But then again, I am preaching to the choir...

he didn't mention anything about wanting a comparison between the 350z and g35 or that he could even be swayed into wanting a 350z. can't blame you guys for trying though.
i've ridden in a g35 and it's a sweet car. i watch z prices on ebay, but not g35. regardless, i think you could get a better deal via ebay than a dealer.

Seems too expensive for a car with 47k miles.

Poolparty1986 - Congrats. You'll really enjoy that G35C. There is a lot to like about the Z's brother. ;)
