A&Q about 350Z
Q:
How about the power issue ? is it just my imagination or did I lose power in the lower RPMs ? The sound is great but it is borderline on being too loud.

I will take pictures tonight and post ... it was quite easy except that I only had two jackstands, first exhaust I ever replaced, and no assistant. Total time with these handicaps was about 2.5 hours.

Yes, as mentioned, it's possible to lose torque on the low end because of exhaust tuning. That is exactly the symptom you would see if you open it up "too much."
A:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard the smell is from the finish of the metal inside the exhaust tubing curing. Once you heat it up, the finish cures and has a distinct smell. It will have that smell each time the finish is subjected to a higher temperature. You will probably smell it again if you happen to take it to the track and reach an even higher temperature within the exhaust tubing.

If any of you want that exhaust ive got it in stock at my shop and I can let it go for a damn good price. Though I will have to double check whether its the 1985 or 1986.
Currently parting out 1990 300zx TT.

looks cool.
btw... i had no bad smell or smoke when i installed my stillen exhaust. it does sound like there was something left in the exhaust that should have been taken out.

I already installed it and it works fine, but for some reason my passenger side muffler seems to be hanging a little lower than the driver side muffler. That is why I wanted to see the instructions. I suppose I'll look it up on MY350Z.com.
