Most Z33 guy's are gonna say "well put twin turbo's on a 350Z and see who's faster" But I beg to differ. If you want to make it even, why don't you put the exact same turbos on both cars. Lets say the famous APS TT setup was then designed to fit a Z32. The Z32 would be able to push over 600whp stock engine easy, while the 350Z's stock VQ would blow up. The VG30DETT has been comonly rated @ a 600whp bone stock reliability level, but people have pushed beyond that. Most I have seen is 750whp untouched vg30dett, pure boost and fuel. It was posted by some dude on TT.net that lived in Japan, They have done multiple dyno's at that level with out any problems yet...

But Stock for Stock the Z32TT is faster and these new 300bhp Z33's lost torque so now there a little slower yet.

just stick with stock for stock who's faster....when you start adding turbos and what not it get's out of hand.

A:

You know the 350 guy's are gonna bring that up...

There pretty close, depends on the car and driver. Remember some of theses z32's are 15 years old and may not be in the best mechanical condition. However most of the people who post here prolly have their motors in tip top shape. I say it's a drivers race.. 60 feet 350z......1/8 350z.....1/4 300zxtt (turbo's have spooled good by now)..but thats just m.h.o.

Well it's not the most lively board. I'd rather them ignore the thread in general.

this is a little childish though, coming to there forum looking for drama...I say they are closely matched and this topic is older than dirt.

like i said, a drivers race..
the 90 through 96 300zx tt were prollay ran exactly the same numbers.
There off by 10th's because of the driver...Similar the 350z'a are all the same cars/ motors (except the 35th an.) and there numbers are off by 10th's.
So whats the point?

is it's mainly Z32 guys lurking around the 350Z forum (especially ICEMAN PR, this forum's most prolific skulker) who are responding to this troll's post.

Hey, Dr.300Z, howsabout you posting this on the 90-96 forum? Then you'll get the reaction you're looking for.

Oops, too late. Somebody already did. Maybe that's where you got the idea.

Top Gear's 300ZXTT vs 350Z race video

I think the video is pretty accurate. Close race and the 350Z gets a slightly better start (as I figured it would). Fully spoolled Z32 comes back though.

Iceman is famous for his dogging of the 350z but yet he hangs in the 350z section and picks at the 350Z owners like a school yard bully.

Who cares which is faster? This has been talked about to death, why not ask if the 300zxTT has feathering problems or uses an APS Twin Turbo Kit, then we can cover all the bases.

look what your comparing ? tt vs non turbo... campare a stock z32 non turbo to a 350z thats how much it has progressed. the non turbo is now pretty much even with the tt. I think thats pretty good. and when you compare a aps 350z to a z32 thats stupid the motor is high compression on the 350 its not set up for tt's. I have owned both all i can say is i enjoy the 350 more because the tts break a lot. injectors suck. vac leaks hard to work on. stupid comparison when you talk about modding. basicly it comes down to internals. and tuning. stock for stock both are impressive. why do we have to bash ? i own both its like the ones who bash the 350 cant offord one... most who have a 350z dont respect their elders... either you like z's or you dont if you really like z's you like all of them ...

A:

It looks like benitoz hit the nail on the head.

I have owned 6 different Z's and have loved them all.

I can be just as happy driving a S30, Z31, Z32, or Z33. They are all great cars. COMPARE BITCHES: LOL !!!! It's like a brunettes, blonds, redheads, black haired women to me. I just like them all!

These cars are by far the best all around sports car for the money that you can drive daily that I have ever seen. ;)

Hey guys, im usually in the Z32 thread, and decided to stick my head over here...

the TT Z32 is a hell of a lot faster than a stock 350. but, it doest depend on the driver and what type of racing your talkin about.

here is a video done in england with all gens of Zs
the white 300 next to the 350 is a TT 2 seater, it woops some ass.
Also, listen to how the dude calls the cars. he says "Zeds," wtf is up with that lol

I find it funny that people have to get into pissing contests.

Out of all the Z's I would say I like the 240 the best. But everyone is looking for different things in a car. If I were road racing, I perfer an N/A because you often have to run deep into the gears on complex turns. Having the power available at a lower RPM makes more sense than waiting till midrange to make most of your power. For straight line racing is it mostly preference. And for touring, I would probably go with a turbo because you have plenty of RPMs to keep in the max boost range.

FYI, I have yet to run into a Z32 or Z33 that will keep up with my 280, but my car is definately not stock.

But you're not into pissing contests, right?

I also have never run into a Honda or a Yugo for that matter, but I doubt a guy in a Yugo would take offense to that.

A:

Well of course. The guy in the Yugo would find it hilarious you had to prove you could piss further.

Its all about the Z, people we all have a great sports car family and alot to be prowed of in every generation.

240,280,300,350 its all a Z and they all have a great heritage

The 280 is the best of the bunch post stock (modded)

Well...the 300zx does have an "x" that means its better i guess :p

I like the 300's engine better regardless of turbos or no. Riceing however i dont really care.

just think if we could have those '90s skylines here in the u.s.a. without the gray market...nissan could have made a fortune...maybe could have won le mans in a lmp by now in a factory effort, besides beating a tt on a side street.
