A&Q about 350Z
Q:

"Forums usually draw complainers"

That sums up this forum anyway.

05 350z...excellent car...NO PROBLEMS..not even grease streaks. I believe the "other" manufacterers are maybe paying these clowns to do a constant flurry of intimidation and scare tactics to send buyers to anyone but Nissan. I am so tired of hearing the same half dozen guys rant and rave about bipkus!!! the original 240's had metal fatique problems, restored 3 of them myself so onward and upward. How about all the problems with ANYTHING BRITISH, dont get me started on that! these clowns are not happy campers. They should have vaginas|! "Z" owners, at least i dont go to Ford ,BMW, Chevy sites and tap into there chat lines to tell them there cars are crap. The only solution is to stop answering these
clowns and ignore.. Sooner or later(hopefully sooner) they will get tired of yapping to themselves and they will just go away. Dont go away mad......just go away.. MISERY loves company.

what do you mean ones that work you know i am an unfortunate victim of tire feathering.nissan just replaced my tires after 7600 miles.a little frustrated yes a little dissapointed yes.do i still love the car hell yes! you know it's funny BMW had and has their own problems.i am a big fan of the m3's.but for the money the Z is hands down for me handling driveablility looks.it's a great package and has it's gremlins to go along with it.hell! i owned three first generations Z's two 240's and one 280 both had the dreaded exhaust fumes problem.drove my 70 for six years loved it.your either a true enthusiest or your not bottom line.the Z comes from true heritage and commands respect it's earned it.no car is perfect and now a days it seems that your average car or truck is reaching the 30k price tag.so to each his own but your dealing with a very large faithfull crowd so your either in or out.you may own a nissan but it's no Z so just because you own a nissan doesn't mean your playing on our team.so please sit on the sidelines while the rest of us "enjoy the ride".ZZZZZZ YAAAAAAA

Z's are like woman maintenance,maintenance,maintenance!

Noticed no feathering so far, but I upgraded wheels/tires after purchase. Yeah, Bose is not that great for the money paid, but I usually pay more attention to the engine and exaust sounds. I have yet to go a day without hearing a positive comment, or having someone simply stare at my car. Love my 350Z!

2003 Touring, Chrome Silver, Black leather, 6sp, fully loaded ex. Nav
Boral Exhaust
K&N Typhoon air intake
SSR GT3 Wheels 19/9 Front w 245/35/19 Michelin pilot sport PS2 tires & 19/10.5 rear w 275/35/19 Michelin pilot sport PS2 tires rear.

If you're hesitant to buy one, then don't. Simply makes mine stand out more. I like being unique.

PS I have pics posted if you look on the forum.

mine does have feathering, but it wasn't until 25k miles that the sound was loud. other than the windows greasing and seats starting to defray(after almost 3 yrs), not a problem.

Ahhhh, the Will K myopic view of automobile ownership.

Screw sports cars, go with a real race car. That's why you think you're buying the Z, ///Mvez, you think it will go fast and look cool.

Check out a Corvette. That's what my buddy did. He loves it, NO problems, 130HP more stock, insanely fun, and he lets me drive it too. He romps me constantly in my Z. When we ride together, the other Z's hide in their lanes. We have 350's everywhere down here.

Talk about mods? He's upping by 100hp this summer with a supercharger, so it'll compete with the C6Z06 coming out later this summer.

I want HIS car now.

I think that the thrust of ///Mvez's arguement is great. Thanks for the thoughtful post, ///Mvez.

Yeah, what he said! Above post clears the air.

Hey zino, can you repeat the last sentence in your post above? There was one word I couldn't quite make out. The rest was perfectly understandable, though I do think you are confusing this issue by applying logic and common sense, ha.

My 04 has a second set of tires on the front. I had 8000 miles when I noticed the loud roar. All of you who say you don't have feathering on your 04's, wait it will happen.

'03 Track, DB. One alignment, very early after I got it, now have 9500 miles on it and no problems.

Have had the greasy windows and a hatch lift problem but all was fixed under warranty and/or TSB.

I'm not worried about the car. I believe most who complain the loudest are in the minority. I know how frustrating it can be if you can't get the issue resolved but that hasn't been my experience on the Z.

I bet some of the loudest complainers prolly got in the face of the Nissan dealer service writer or service manager without trying to understand the problem and working with Nissan through the process of fixing their cars. They prolly just started yelling...LOL
