A&Q about 350Z

This post is a follow up on the t-top post. Has anyone modified their 350 with a targa top? If so, would you provide me any information as to where you got it done, price, and if you had any problems with the targa mod. After seeing mecidone's 350Z picture mod with a t-top look (see t-top thread)...I sincerely think a targa top would look great on the 350!!!

good luck with that...i for one have been on these boards well before the 350 even came out and havent seen anyone with a targa/t-tops. only thing close was someone who chopped the roof off completely for a custom convertible(this was before the roadster came out..i guess they just couldnt wait)

I think if the structure would support it they would be cool. I do not see why not. Expecially since according to NISSAN they made this car as a Convertable first then used the chassis for a Coupe.

I gotta admit that looks sweet!!! i would not mind having that done to my car... it's not like i drive on track all the time anyways to be worried about structural rigidy... even so there are plenty of things that one can do (ex. tube chassis reinforcement, angle weld reinforcement) to strengthen the frame... UGH... i want that!!!

ive thought long and hard about this.. I would definitely do it:
1. IF i could find a shop that has done it before on other cars.
2. IF they let me see their work
Its just such a big risk letting someone cut your roof off. But if anyone decides to start doign this to Z's.. i will be signing up.
