Camber in front right tire

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Doing some good reading about automotive suspension engineering will take you pretty far as well, but I'm finding that experience is the best way to go since the whole system is so hard to actually model and predict.
A:

Unclebob, the reason im on here is to try to get knowledge about the strut i asked for, no1 seemed to help me their
A:

Well you started off asking a very general question with out giving any details.
At all.
We need to know what year, make and model of car.
What work has already been done to it.
What you plan on useing it for.
What sort of racing it is.
What are you allowed to do by the rules.
What tyres are you running.
etc etc etc

You completly failed to answer any of those questions with detailed information. We are not mind readers, and we are not sitting beside you looking at your car. Some of us are on the other side of the world.

Then you mentioned getting your cousin do to some work, but showed the sort of ignorance that makes you dangerous, both on the track and in a workshop.
You have clearly failed to do any basic resurch on your own, and expect everyone else to do it, or know it for you.
It makes your claims about working in a pit crew, and being from a family thats been involved in motorsport your whole life seem a bit shallow.
If any of its true then you cleary paid very little attention, did little more than change the spark plugs, and your family and friends are not giving you any advice, or very bad advice. All of which equates to what sounds like a very, very dangerous racing environment.

There is a wealth of knowledge and information on this forum, and its contained with in the minds of some very experianced and helpful members.
But you can not access it with out following the correct procedures, and being able to understand what is being said, or at least have comunication skills required to seek clarification.

If you keep acting the way you are all you will do is piss people off.

Ok, its a 92' V6 3.1 liter cutlass supreme, their has been no work to the suspension at all and the type of racing is a asphalt 3/8 mile, usually a night of racing consists of 25 laps (10-heat) (15-feature), and once again I apolgize for not knowing my suspension in my car, maybe this is where someone can help me out
A:

Much better start

Is the car going to see any road use? Because radical differnces in camber will make the car unstable and dangerous to drive on the road.
you could make small changes, but it would need to be equal on both wheels, which might not achieve what you want.
If your class allows unlimited suspension mods, and you trailer the car to and from events then fitting camber plates, which allow you to adjust the camber and caster will give you all the adjustment you need, and make it easy to fine tune the adjustment.
This is work that needs to be done by someone with some knowledge and experiance, like a good suspension shop.
Other people at the track would be the best source of information on that.

But you might find running a differnt tyre is a cheaper, and easier option.
For that we need to know brand and model of tyre, as well as all 3 of its dimensions.
A:

Well yes this car will be trailored to events and will never be driven on the street, it is totally street illegal, and for the tire im not sure what model.
A:

I find it hard to believe that someone who claims a background in motorsport, and owns, or is building a dedicated race car dosn't know what sort of tyres they are running?
A:

I find alot of stuff hard to believe about this guy.
A:

well im sorry I dont know the tire, their all different on the car,i ran a smaller tire on the front right to see how clearance is, im just testing out alot of stuff now, and quit acting like im making all this stuff up for the heck of it.
A:

In order to make everyone believe you're not making it up provide the information that shows us you are not making it up just like moppie asked. It's a very simple concept, really......
A:

So first you wernt allowed to change tire size, now your saying you have differnt sizes at differnt places?
A:

Maybe his car came from the factory with differnt tyre sizes?

A:

When did I say that your not allowed to change tire sizes?
A:

You said you had to run stock tyres, that could mean a lot of things.
Usualy it means running the cars stock tyre size, and often means sticking to a certian brand and model of tyre as well.
A:

Maybe it's just me but that statement pretty much says that the tire sizes should all be the same size, make and model as they were when the car was produced. "Stock" means the way it was when it rolled off the assembly line so you would have a specific size of tire on it. Changing to a different size tire would no longer make the car stock because it no longer has the original size of tire on it. Maybe you should stop racing real cars and stick to something safer like RC cars. Then again, there is a good chance you'll probably blow yourself up if it's a nitro RC car so maybe it would be a good idea to not do any type of racing until you better educate yourself with cars and the use of the forums here.
