I was just wondering how much damage can be done to my distributer if i dont have a diamagnetic screw that it asks for?

Well you could over load the flux capcitor, which we all know can lead to the conflubulator over heating, and that can be really bad for your rumple bearings.
If you can tell us what universe and time period your car is from, as well as make model, and assigned temporal convergance number we might be able to help you more.
