Ok, heres and easy one for those who know what they are doing:
Is there any way to test a Coil pack to see if its faulty using a multi meter?
Mine car is showing all the symptoms of a bad coil pack, or a bad lead
(misfire at low RPM under load).

Cheers very much, although it turns out it was just a lead shorting on the exhaust heat shield.

Ai, that'll do it. Or when freaking rabbits/mice/whatever chew through the wires....I hate that.

Must say Iv never seen that happen on a car thats driven nearly every day
The weird thing is the car was just driven 3 hours each way the day before, and ran like a charm.
But its working now.

Sence the question was answered I'll give my input. Usually if you stick your figner in it, and start the car- the coil is good if your arm tingles up to or past your elbow.

If you find that your arm is getting a bit sore though, unzip your fly, pull down your pants and try sticking your .....................

Coil packs should just spark between the two posts, right?
Or if it was easy the packs could be switched to see if the other two cylinders then missed. Ok it is fixed, good and cheap too.

Well Iv had coils go bad in the past, they will still generate a spark, but its a weak one, so the engine will run, but miss under load.
However, there are lots of other things that can cause the same problem, nearly all of which are ignition related.
I was wondering if there was an easy way to test the out put of the coil, evidently there is
