A&Q about 350Z
Q:

my research on the subject has been very minimal. I played with the idea briefly, of running my turbo'd drag race/street bike off propane, so that I could have the benefits of:

1) high octane fuel that was cheap and plentiful
2) capable of riding it on the street and still find filling stations (there are definitely plenty around here, unlike E85 or race gas which are nearly non-existant)
3) the other nice side effects, such as low acid/particle deposits in engines (which I know burrito says isn't true....but whatever)

There is several ways of doing a conversion, some of them are very cheap and not too technical, others are quite difficult and hard to find parts for (direct injection, which wasn't really an option in my situation).

I have discussed this on a few turbo forum, and there is many people out there who have done this conversion for simular reasons. All of them suggested that a) you will get more power than you would off of pump gas (which is a no brainer, but if others want to argue it.....ok), b) the actual MPG difference isn't nearly as big as some suggest, more like 10-20% less than pump gas

Granted, these are vehicles that were specifically set up for running LPG (IE, they were designed to take advantage of the advantages), not just slapping a gasoline car together and crossing your fingers. This will make an obvious difference.

The problem I was finding, being in the states, there isn't nearly as much access to high performance options with LPG. I found loads of stores, shops and people in NZ and Europe, but hardly anything in the states. The states mostly use LPG for generators, and very little else.

Another disadvantage was actually refueling. Gas stations are only supposed to only fill certified propane containers.....which could be made to work fine in a car, but a motorcycle, that is most definitely not an option. So I would have to make my own container, which would be nearly impossible to get certified.

There was too many issues, and I'm a cheap bastard anyway....I gave up on it and just decided to stick with pump gas and trying to get the most out of it. Not as optimal, but best for do-everything type ride that I was aiming for.
A:

I've got some research coming, i'm really busy for the next few days so ill try to get something up by next week.

anyways if you're looking for a way to convert a car to propane and they have it so that it only costs you 50-70$.

and as for the propane container, you might not find a container specifically for propane but you might find one for compressed air or nitrogen or something that might work for propane.
