A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I just replaced the rotors on my Eagle, but realized (no 2 months off) that the pads I ordered are the wrong size! (i shall never online order again!)
The pads that were on the vehicle though were still pretty thick, though scored from the damage on the old rotors. What happens if I use these old pads since they still have some slice to go through?
worth buying new ones?
thanks, G
A:
Both answers are viable. The pad is the sacrificial part, so they will eventually wear down flat again, but on the other hand, its worth getting new ones.
A:
Well the only problem with already scored pads is that they tend to heat glaze rings into the rotors. I would personally go get new pads to go with your new rotors.
A:
Well went the extra $20 for new ones and think it's worth it, nothing compares the the silky whizz of new brakes
A:
except for the silky whizz + better stopping power of broken-in brakes
