first of all, im in the united states and am not planning on going to any european country therefore i will never know what the fog is like over there and will never need to have rear fog lights so yes....they are really stupid IMO. Second of all, i did already know what the rear fogs were used for, just didnt know of anyone or anywhere who would need them which is why i said they were stupid cause i thought they were just a waste of money. Third, u have no idea who i am or what i can do so keep your mouth shut and i didnt add to this topic in the forum so that i could start a war between people, i was just asking a question. When we have fog here it can be really dense.
I mean that it's so dens that you sometimes can't even see what's in front of you within 10-15 meters.
So I think it's not that ad to have foglights.
also our roads arent in that good shape.
which makes it feel you as driver feel a bit safer when you can see the car in front of you.
Just last week i was going to work(5am) and it was verry foggy
thankfully the car in front of me used his foglights because that wa the ONLY thing i could see(apart from brakinglight because they are the same "stenght in light")
The only thing I hate about them is that sometimes people forget to put them off.
and on older cars they are sometimes placed in te rearlightclusters.
And if you combi that fact with the lack off a third brakinglight it seems that that person is using the brakes all the time.
that could be a bit confusing.
But hey: If you'r country hasn't got fog=> they don't have to be on your car.
They mostly look odd on them.
Example=> Honda civic CRX del sol: foglight is placed leftside next to the license plate.

He's right. There's a 1.5L 3-stage SOHC VTEC. But that's is a Asia Version with a D15B-JDM but actually a D15Z7 engine. The econo mode is real and allows u to swith between using 12 or 16 Valves. That already is 2 stage itself. In addition, there is the wild cam VTEC mode with more agressive cam lobes + air/fuel mapping after crossing abt 5500rpm.
I live in Singapore and I'm driving one. We can it EK3 VTi here.

And i believe not all regions of the world would have received that model or engine. For instance, i came across a JDM Del Sol (i am located in Australia) that had a automatic retracting targa top that unlatched itself, at the same time the bootlid would raise, the targa would slide under the bootlid, then the bootlid lower back into normal position. All at the touch of a button.
I guess i am saying this as, i've been a follower of Honda for just over a decade. And i only found out about that auto retracting Del Sol targa roof now. (btw, it did not have a b16a engine standard under the bonnet)
The same way, some of you are finding out about the 3-stage Vtec.
Now i know this is practically going against the question....obviously, these are very clean(emission wise) & economical engines. And maybe some of the reasons performance parts are hard to find, or finding information is scarce, is because it's potential for more horsepower would defeat the design of the engine. You would probably also sacrifice the economy that it already achieves. So not many people, if any, have thought of using that engine as a tuning base. Especially when the higer powered b16a is there for the taking.
Hence the different types of Vtec.
Sorry for not answering your question. But I'd tell you to save the money anyhow.

yeah i used to have one with the d16z6 in it.. not a bad running little motor. its a good budget turbo motor too. i hear that the d16s can handle near as much as and LS due to steel crank and stronger rods and stuff i guess
