A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Today, i had to get the hell out of the way. Long story short..shopping mall..angry soccermom..suv..shes in a hurry..not looking..
Anyway, i had to reverse, and when i went from park to reverse, i hit the gas to soon (while the AT was switching from P to R) and caused the car to do a reverse nuetral drop-the tires chirped. I have a RWD (tbird) and i feel this wasn't good. It was either that, or a damn messed up door panel. There is no noticable damage while engaging reverse, or any other gears.
I just wonder, imagine if i was walking in the lot-not paying attention, i'd be friggin road kill.

No harm done. Just don't make a habit out of it

Thanks alot. I've also noticed that rwd cars take longer to go into reverse..?
I've driven 3 front wheel drives, and 2 rwd, it always is slower in rwd-why is that?
A:
1. Wear on the ring/pinion gear?
2. RWD usually an older car with more wear?
These would be my only ideas.
