'94 Ford Explorer, turns over but will not fire. I want to pull the plugs to see if there is a spark but can't get the plug boots off! I even used pliers and could not get them off. I tried tree different plugs and they are all stuck. What is going on? Can any one tell me how to get them off. Aloha Andrew

They're probably some older plug wires. The only thing you can usually do is spray some penitrating lubricant on them (where the lip meets the spark plug). Other than that, twist, turn and pull hard. You might break them but I would imagine a new set to be around $25-$60 so you might have to invest in that. Also get some new plugs if you change the wires, The base AC-Delco's generally work the best (don't get caught into all that platinum, denso, ultridium super 9000 plugs. On a normal day vehicle you prob won't notice the difference). The AC-Delco's are only about $1.47 each...

in some cases, platiums run worse then standard plugs.
in the mean time, pull the wires at the distributor/coil packs and check there for spark
