A&Q about 350Z
Q:
My 2001 Saturn SL1 makes a growling/buzzing noise when making a left turn above 10 mph. Has anyone experienced this?
A:
You might have a worn wheel bearing in your right front wheel.
A:
i'll second that
A:
The voting has been in favor of a front wheel bearing and seconded, any oppose? then I say look at the wheel bearing for problems.

How bout a bad Cv Joint?, does it only happen when you make a left hand turn or does it happen, when the car reaches speeds above 10km?
If your getting a constant (HUMMMMMMM) as you pick up speed, it's probably a Wheel Bearing, if it only happens when you turn left and it growls or clicks, it's probably a CV joint.
Good Luck

It only happens when making a left turn. It begins as soon as turn pressure is applied to steering wheel and stops as soon as turn is completed. I first suspected the power steering but no noise is detected on turns under 10mph. No clicking noise can be detected.

As a rule, growling is mostly used to describe problems with bearings. Unless you can describe it as something else, that'd be the first place you should look.

I replaced the right front wheel bearing and the noise stopped!! Thanks for the input!

Glad to hear that. Hope everything else runs good for a while. If not, there are a lot of knowledgable people here (much more than I am) that are more than willing to help anybody in need. Just think of it as free help, until we all conspire a way to charge everyone.......
