"Seeing" exhaust on a warm day

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I was just driving my car tonight and it was bout 81 degrees outside (hot) but I could could see my exhaust like it was winter time. I wanted to know what causes that? And no it wasn't white puffy smoke like the engine locking it was the normal exhaust that I'm used to seeing but it was hot out instead of cold.
A:

Whats it smell like?
A:

There was no smell at all.
A:

what color was it? if it's white you could be burning oil. that means either you put too much in or you have a more serious problem. if it's black you could be running rich in which case you're killing your cats and fuel economy. that could be as simple as tuning carbs or ecu, or replacing some sensors, it all depends. does the check engine light come on?
A:

Not exactly white but the normal clear like color you would see in the winter time. When I went to work this morning it only happended for about 5 mins and hasn't happended since.
A:

even when its hot out, exhaust does collect water from the combustion process. Some systems trap the water better than others, and when it burns it off, you get what you have. Odorless whitish vapor.

I wouldn't worry about it.
A:

Can't give the reason, but it seems that on certain hot days I see lots of car's exhausts. It is normal. Maybe it is the humidity. It should've smelled like exhaust, lol.

I can see my dogs breath on the same days. lol. and may have something to do with his exhaust gas temp.
A:

I never see that during the summer. I guess the 90%+ humidity and 100 degree weather around here has something to do with it..
A:

I see it so very rarely that it always surprises me. It is also very light and if you look closely a lot of cars are doing it at the same time. Kinda reminds me of a very cold day where they are all doing it.

It may have a lot to do with the exh temp, and length of system. My lp truck will smoke like that at a much higher outside temp than a gasoline engine and
a gas engine will do it long before a dsl.

I remember back in the day guys yelling at me on the cb, telling me I had a cracked sleeve or water leak on a cold day driving the lp truck. The high exhaust temp and very cold outside temp made for a truck that would smoke white all day long and upon startup would cuase huge clouds of white to trail behind to the point of reducing visibilty. Kinda funny really. Huge clouds.
