A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Does anyone know of a transaxle (with little-to-no overhang behind the rear axle) that mates to a modern four-cylinder motor?
A:
honda, toyota, mitsubishi... I think they all make them.
A:
renult make one that is very popular, there is one used in the Porsche 928 that is also commonly used, but very expensive.
With a bell housing adaptor and suitable machine work to input shafts you can make pretty much anything fit anything else.
A:
Renault trannys commonly used with CSB's have a long rear overhang. That's why I'm even asking.
Are the C4/C5 Corvette transaxles light weight? It would make little sense to use a heavy transaxle on a light motor unless that motor was modified to all hell.
