A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hallo
I'm puting new exhaust on my 75 dodge w200 with 318 engine. I'll put 2 pipe exhaust that I'll custom build. Is it a must to put the H-pipe to connect the pipes. Is it the H-pipe in that engine runs better or why??
I never quite understand this, becouse if I look on some already made exhaust systems for the cars, some has the H-pipe and some don't.
thanks

i try to answer you but i am not know much in dodge.
In General,I think use H pipe or not just depend on your need or is it fit to install.
A:
H- pipes and X- pipes help equalize exhaust pulses. There is only ever one cylinder firing at once, but given the firing order, sometimes two or three cylinders from one bank fire in succession. The crossover pipe allows pressures to be relieved into both pipes.
Depending on the system, it can dramatically increase torque and horsepower with no drawbacks since the size of the piping itself hasn't changed. H pipes are a bit better designed for torque improvements with mild improvements in HP. The opposite is true of X pipes.

Or you could always get an O-pipe....
For ULTIMATE backpressure!!

lol, or just weld your exhaust shut.
