vibration at highway speed--please help

Hello,
I am about to sell my car because I can't figure out why it vibrates at 65+ mph. I have a '94 Corolla 1.8L 4spd auto. 64K miles. Had this problem since I bought it 3k miles ago. Sounds like it is coming from the front end. The vibration is not in the steering wheel but felt throughout the car. Here is what I have done so far: Switched tires+rims with my other car, checked wheel bearings, checked ball joints (with load), changed both CV axles, put in salvaged transmission. None of the above solved the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try struts, suspension bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, and strut mounts. All tires and wheels are off balance a tiny bit, even after balancing. They balance them at the equivalent of about 15 mph, but when you're at 35 and higher, the tires have completely different qualities.

A worn suspension part will allow that unbalance to throw some weight around.

I was gonna say driveshaft...then i thought...corolla...fwd right..?

Did you make sure your tires/wheels are balanced correctly, cause only a hair off, and it will give you sh*t, seriously.

Thanks for the advice-- I'll look into all of that stuff. I just noticed today that there is a little bit of play in the steeringwhen parked. maybe something is loose down there

My Grandfather bought a '02 blazer not too long ago. The place he bought it from threw some new tires in the deal. they didnt balence them properly and he had the same symptoms (no steering wheel vibration). he took it down to the tire shop and had the tires balenced. the guy said that not only where they an Ounce off but they also didnt have it place on the correct side of the rim (stick on weights). He didnt feel it untill about 40mph and it got real bad at about 60-70. one wheel may be misaligned (sp) also. thoes would be my guesses even though yo usaid you switched the wheels/tires.

sounds like worn front end steering parts and/or alignment problems, jack it up on both sides and wiggle the crap out of the front end up and downa damnd side to side, you shouldnt have any play at all before it affects the steering wheel, put a bar under the front tires and try to lift them up and down to check for play ther too ( while jacked up) Check the rear tires the same way and more than likely you will find worn out bushings, bearings, or shocks/struts.
