I was going to add this to the 'German Plates' FAQ, but once its there you can't post to it! Apparently, a new law has been passed which makes it illegal to sell these plates (no exemption for show use).
Here it is. Read and weep!
So the way round is to buy plates produced outside of the UK. I don't know what Dubmeister are now going to do.

I got mine from germanplates.com too. Brilliant service, i even got a photo of them emailed to me to make sure i was happy before shipping from Germany.
