Really considering getting myself a mk2 16valve to go alongside my mk3 16v. There is constant debate on the differences, handling, performance etc on the two cars. So i think the best way is to buy one and find out. Not sure if id get insured on something as heavily modded as the one i just mentioned though.
A:
That one ain't a 16v though.
It's a mental VR6!
A:
Was just going to say that, hardly a 16v anymore. I didnt realise he had turbo'd it, in fact i thought he put it up for sale ages back as just a Mk2 VR6. Must fly a bit now.

this monster has passed the line at santa pod at 113mph, and elapsed time of 13.2 seconds on standard road tyres (will run 11sec bracket with traction aid),
and this time was produced with severe traction problems in the 1st 3 gears! Yes traction is a severe problem is this car,
having said that it will complete a 60-100mph run in just over 4 seconds in 4th gear(compare this to motorbikes, a GSXR 600 cannot touch this car in this speed range)
Gsxr600??
A:
I know its not a 16valver!! However my attention has been turned to this beauty:
A:
Thats been on there a few times before, think the guy has a fleet of top golfs in his collection with this being a lovely example would love to have the cash for that. What sort of budget have you got?
A:
Its a tough one to call. I dont have a massive amount to outlay on the car. But would be willing to stretch a bit for the right motor. Ive heard how everyone raves about the mk2's superior handling etc so im itching to get my hands on one. Trouble is ive never driven a mk2 and am not likely to until i purchase one, dont know anyone close to me that owns one! unless some kind person on the forum can let me test theirs out
But the last thing i want to do is get a shed. Id be willing to spend anything up to 5k for a complete minter. Id try and not stick many miles on it and keep it tip top condition. See it as an investment more than anything. Trouble is, im without the use of a garage until feb of next year!!!
A:
You will definately get a minter for that sort of money and the one on ebay could be bought for a bit less than he is asking for,I would give the guy a ring go for a test drive and see what he will take for a good offer.I was in coventry a few weeks ago in mine, you could have had a shot in that its not a 4k minter but a good solid car
A:
The 68k valver was up for £3995 a few weeks back.
A:
that valver certainly is tidy and like it says in the advert the opportunity to ever own one in that condition dont come around very often.
