badges or smooth?

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

HI All
as for me, i always prefer to change the standard badges on a car and go for something a little different as the most subtle changes i always find make a car stand out that little bit more to the enthusiast
so i ask you, do you like to badge your car up or keep it smooth?
an example and how i like to do it.........

A:

Never understood the Audi RS2 badge thing on a VW. Whatever floats your boat though. Personally, i either like the original badges or none at all.

have had the same badge on all my VW/Seat cars, so thought i would carry it through with all of them
i like the badge, its different and has some relevance....
A:

Will soon be having the rear end of the Mk2 rebadged (just the VW roundel not the GTI badge) it will be the only badge on the car, but think the single chrome VW should look class.
And let those that don't know what they are trying to keep up with
A:

Ermm
Notice how i almost parked in exactly the same place......spooky
A:

My car has no badges at the moment, but might be buying my TDI badge back onto it. Depends how 'OEM' you want the car to look.
A:

i prefer it without the badge DubSi
A:

just the silver VW badge for me

A:

i prefer it without the badge DubSi Me too, i don't even miss the wiper
A:

I got the Chrome VW in the center and just a basic Golf badge from a 1.3 later Mk2 no, GTi striping up the side, single headlights & de-baddged grille. The only tell tale to show it's a valver is the original beesting, but most have them now and still the original type twin pipe exhaust. If you look inside I have the seats & door panels from a GL model as the GTi trim was wreaked beyond my expense to repair, makes it not worth pinching from a carpark as it looks Slow & boring - but pi55e5 the local boy racers off in their nova's, fiesta's, corsa's & clio's - they just choke on my fumes.
A:

just the vw badge for me...but they do look nice de badged!
A:

Never understood the Audi RS2 badge thing on a VW
agree. I find the link to be somewhat tenuous at best.
still, spose its different!
A:

All original badges, but they have to look nice and shiney/new
A:

i prefer no bagdes at all-make the charvers (thats chav's to those not in the north east) keep guessin what lies beneath.
A:

changed mine, as they looked a bit tatty in first pic

Wouldn't be where the gate is would it?
Prefer it without the badges though mate!
Almost every car i have owned i have debadged, apart from my golf because the badges are like new so i can't bring myself to remove them just yet, lol.
Colour coded badges can look the nuts btw, my mate did it to his mk2.
A:

i intend to colour code my "corrado" badge
is how the early VR6's were, mine came with chrome badges all round

Believe it or not, no

Stop it, you're scaring me now!

Might try bending spoons next

I can do the trick with your feet that makes it look like you're levitating. That one gets some wicked reactions
A:

My mk2 is the only car I've owned where I've kept the badges as is. Although Im going to spray the rear VW badge black. Chrome on T red looks crap IMO.
A:

prefer mine all smooth

It looks kinda nice, but at the same time a bit to boxy imo.
Mixed emossions.
That doesn't look like the easiest garage to get out of in a hurry, lol.
A:

i've always thought that something look better, but somethings only appear better because its different to how it was, depends what you like really, but different isn't always better
