I have been lookinh for a mk3 16v 5dr for ages now and cant find one the right spec but there seems to be loads of vr6s out there. my question is , is it worth buying a vr6 for the extra money it will cost me on initial purchase. i am not worried about mpg costs but i am a little concerned about the other running costs will i heamorage money every service or what.?
any buying guides out there also what are the engines good for mileage wise.

Once you test drive a VR6 your choice will be made for you, no sound like it when you boot it - VR6 alllllllllll the way, wish I'd never sold mine.
