A&Q about 350Z
Q:
i have been looking for a mk3 5door 16v 1997 or later in unmodified guise and cant seem to find a decent one .i have only had mk2s 8vs before now but have got the bug for a mk3
I have yet to drive one as all the ones i have been to see i walked before even sitting in them . are they any good as a true drivers car ? I love the chuckabilty of my mk2s .i have always used eibach springs and gas dampers on my others is this a good set up on the mk3 ?
whats the wur mod all about.?
BEFORE you all scream buy a vr i was gonna go vr6 but the servicing costs are a little steep etc.

Hi Collie,
The 16v is a very nice engine, and pulls all the way until 7k, and you'll easily see three figure speeds. If you change the suspension it'll be much better. It won't be as chuckable as a mk2 as the mk3 is heavier.
WUR mod only works on older cars (Warm Up Regulator) the mk3s don't use it I don't think.
A:
thanks, so i guess the early mk3s share the late mk2 ignition system etc even though they are 2.0 over the mk2 1.8
A:
yeah they are good cars
definite mods are the suspension, change that and you then have a fantastic handling car which becomes very chuckable!
great fun to drive and the revs climb and climb!
best car i have had yet and my previous car was a 240BHP Seat Ibiza.....and i would choose the golf any day of the week
A:
mine has eibach pro springs and gmax gas dampers. after loads of testing, i found that (with my eagle F1s) i need 36psi and 34psi (front/rear) to make it really shine. the handling is great fun now.
there is very little in it against VR6s... and i always get over 30mpg (300miles a tank)
A:
still looking
A:
you local to me? wanna go for a chase in mine? since playing with the handling side, the car is sooooooo much fun.
best to go find a good one

See if I can get Dad to flog his.
73k miles, black, P reg, fully built in Alpine ICE (doors rebuilt).
At one stage my Mum, me AND Dad had one - I loved mine to bits.
Better balanced than the VR6, very cheap to run and comfy but when I first came on here when I got it (having had a mk2 GTi before) I got FLAMED!!!
