A&Q about 350Z
Q:
And the best news is that VW designer Rüdiger Folten has promised the Scirocco's exterior will look the same as the prototype's, bar a few millimetres' difference here and there.
VW is aiming for a starting price of around £18,000. As well as the hi-tech TSI unit, the range is likely to include FSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. But no matter which model you choose, buyers will get a great-looking, surprisingly practical three-door coupé with the kind of badge heritage that rivals will find difficult to match.
Whos placing an order already then?
A:
its the 'around' 18k that concerns me!
Fair play to vag for squeezing 210hp from a 1.4 - a harking back the the R5 days!
A:
I think it looks terrible. There's no VW identity to it at all and it could easily be one of the many Korean show cars we see from time to time. It's got daft alloys, a stupid out of place trapezoid grill which looks like an afterthought, Ford style spots and exhausts and BMW flame surfacing front quarter. There's no design coherence at all.
I'm really annoyed at this car because I sooo wanted to like it. I thought that like some other cars it might get better the more I looked at it but even that hasn't happened yet.
A:
I like it, want to see it in a few more colours. Reckon black will look hard as nails!!
A:
Does it have photon guns, lasers and a hyperdrive unit?
A:
i like it to! definatly a car that looks abit ahead of the time.
and sutherlandm, no, just an optional 'pussy magnet' (yay to borat)
A:
and damn, i just noticed the satnav location and dials, thats awsome.
and
"The way you get into the IROC adds to the sense of occasion - you press a sliver of alloy that sits flush in the door skin, and then an electrically powered handle pops out to grant you access to the colourful cabin."

Dials and rest of the interior is definitely bound to change. Not least to make it mass marketable, but for cost reasons too. Especially if they want entry level to be available for £18k, which quite frankly is a bargain when the GTI starts at £19,995. Are we going to see a GTI price reduction too? Hmm.
A:
Looks like an Audi.
A:
**** price someone needs to make the next push to more futuristic cars!
A:
not to sure maybe need to see it in the flesh and of course in black
A:
I did quite like it, but i'm not too sure now. Does anybody else see the massive massive resemblence to the soon to be launched civic type R??!!!! - especially when you look at the back.
A:
is it just me or doesnt it look very similar to a Seat Leon in 3 door form with oversized rear arches and crossed with a 1 series BMW ?? perhaps in different colours but at the moment on 1st sight i dont like it at all. agree with some other comments about it looking too much like other cars all moulded together. MK5 for me, what about the Corrado concept........
A:
Looks like an Audi.
funny that, what with it being a Vag 'n' all!
A:
I got my name on the waiting list already, infact I am the first on the list at my dealers
A:
tbh, i think i`d rather keep what i`ve got now. it looks more like an audi, mixed with an alfa 147 and the new astra, rather than a vw.

What I mean is, it doesn't look like a VW. None of the latest models do, really. Maybe they're homogenising styling cues or something. Either way all the VAG group cars are starting to look the same but with slightly different grilles.
