Right got mot coming up at the end of the month for my mk3 gti.
1) the ABS light randomly comes on now and again, been doing it more recently these days.
2) The rear wiper works but the washer jet on the rear doesnt.
Are the above failures? or any idea on how i can fix them?

front washer is a fail, not sure about rear, as not all cars have them. remove the wiper, then the jet doesn't have to work!
so long as the ABS light comes on, then goes off it should pass.

as above, if the abs light comes on and goes of as it should at startup its fine.
if like mine did, it comes on and stays on while its in for the test, your in trouble.

theres a good chance you get away with taking the bulb out.depends how slack they are
spose you could wire it up somehow so it goes off with the engine on

no good.
tester will identify as having abs and test the light, unless PB is right bout them being slack!

rear washwipe not on the test , i remember got my car and on test girl said it had abs but no light ever came on or went off on start up , anyway i discovered they were never built on that year with abs was worried for months it would cost the earth to fix but you cant fix somehting that aint there .
