A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hey All,
Ive never had a VW before and I am now looking for a MK3 Golf GTi 16v.
During my search, I have come across both the 16v and the 8v. I also noticed both cars are identical in looks, apart from the red 16v badge on the back. However, this can just be bought and stuck on. Therefore, I am now confused on what to look for when looking at the GTi 16v??
I have asked on another VW forum, but noone can tell me. Can anyone tell me what else I can look out for to tell the difference between the 16v and 8v?? there must be something??
Cheers
A:
err, the engine - a 16v engine looks very different to an 8v as they both look different to a vr6.
i'd say if you really don't know what your looking for, search for pictures of both engines.

Thanks to ebay for the pics
This is an 8V
This is a 16V
As you can see. A big difference!
And dont ask which is best as everyone will say the 16V....And they are correct!

actually, they'll say, and i quote: "don't get a mk3, they're ****, they're lardy and slow, get a mk2, 8v or 16v, still better than a mk3...."
and they'd be wrong, 'cos they're penises!
