A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I just purchased a 1985 GTI 8v and the car is great. Everything shifts fine but I get a ticking noise from the front drivers side. When the car heats up it gets louder. The ticking gets faster and slower depending on road speed. Pushing in the clutch or taking the car in or out of gear does not matter. It does not make the noise when your foot is on the gas though. It only makes it when you take your foot off of the gas no matter if it is in or out of gear. The inner passenger boot was torn so I thought for sure that was it but I changed both shafts and it made no change. I checked the fluid and it is fine but I thought about trying to change it to see if that made a difference. Since the gearbox and transmission share the same fluid what should I use. I am considering Redline MT90 but I like what Amsoil has to say. Any suggestions on fluid? After reading for hours I am still confused. Could it be a wheel bearing, Gearbox...
Thanks for any help
This is my first time posting so I hope I am in the correct place.

wheel bearing maybe?
A:
How hard are they to change? Would they stop making noise when accelerating?
Any certain brand you would suggest?
Thanks

CV joint (or did you change them) ? Something loose (brakes) ? A stone jammed in a tyre (sounds ridiculous but it has been known) ? Wheel bearing ? Are you sure its not doing it all the time, and you only hear it when you come off the power ?
A:
already changed both shafts. Does not seem to be something just loose because it does not do it when foot is on the gas.

only when I come off of power no matter if it is in gear or not. I have not been able to do anything to get it to stop. Turning, Brakes, Shifting, Cluthcing.. Nothing seems to make a difference and it does it worse as it heats up.

This may sound daft and you prob wont believe me.I've had a few cars making a light tick noise with road speed and it's been a loose tyre on the rim...........See,knew you wouldn't believe me but I'm really serious.Try moving the rims front to back.If you can't get it isolated to 1 rim by jacking it up and rotating the wheel,it may be different with weight on it. Honest!!
