A&Q about 350Z

So, I know there's all type of stories about bad drivers in this forum, but this happened to me yesterday and it was pretty scary.
I was driving to visit a friend for Thanksgiving on I-80 West between Lincoln and Omaha, NE. Suddenly this dark (black I think, it was +- 7:15pm) early 90's Chevy pick-up , license plate Nebraska 6-6071 I believe, with a driver and passenger who looked like real mean jerks pull up beside us on the passing lane. The two morons speed up like they wanted to pass, but then slowed down again, they did this several times, while we kept always at a constant speed. After that, the driver, jerks the steering wheel toward us, as if he wanted to ram us off the road. Then, he speeds up gets a couple cars ahead and decides to hold up traffic by getting besides a tractor trailer and staying in the passing lane for about 5 miles. Finally, a man in a green Taurus flashes him so he will get out of the way. These two non quality people won't let him through. The taurus then gets in the slow lane behind the truck and the jerks, in a wreckless manouver, get in front of him very close in the slow lane as well. The taurus, to avoid collision, gets back in the passing lane but the dummies read his move and repeat the previous manouver. So, they kept pretending that they wanted to ram other cars off the road for a while and finally decide to get off exit 69, before their superinteligent brains (yeah, right) realized that someone probably called the highway patrol. My point, all of those driving through the Lincoln- Omaha area be on the watch for those two rednecks (don't take offense to the term, I'm a farm owner myself). Other than that have a great Thanksgiving break!!!!!

if someone jerked their wheel with the sole purpose of either trying to scare me or trying to run me off the road i wouldnt think twice about firing a warning shot, and if they continued the harassment the next one wouldnt be a warning. the link below is a classic of 2 morons almost getting shot

Well, I'm not a violent guy, but they would deserve it, I wish I would of had a videocam to film it and turn it in to the authorities.

I dont think the answer is for you to shoot them Brian. You are dealing with mental people here, if you get your gun out don't you think they will try and shoot you too..
Best to try and stay out of their way like jomiel did and ring for the cops. Getting a gun and shooting from the car is just wrong. For starters you may miss and shoot someone in another lane or a pedestrian. They may even have more fire power then you, they certainly will be less inteligent then you and will try any means to try and kill you should you try and shoot them. They will have less to lose then you.

i have pulled my gun twice in the past, and both times the cops said i was just in what i did and it probably saved my life and no charges were filed against me. It was soley self defense and they lost. served the sob's right in my book.
while i dont recommend this action for most people, it all depends on the situation you are confronted with.
now back to a wonderfull thanksgiving....

Think of the consequences of shooting the driver of a vehicle...What is that vehicle going to do when the driver stops driving? There is a difference between someone acting like an a$$clown and someone who is really trying to run you off of the road.

Over here, we consider shooting people like that as 'chlorinating the gene pool'. It is unfortunate that your country has strayed so far from the precepts of personal liberty and gone over to the 'nanny state'. You are not even allowed to defend yourselves when attacked. Go on and 'ring up the cops'. You will be dead or severely injured by the time they even show up; if at all. What happened to the resolute country we sent rifles to in WW II? You have had all your guns taken away, and now they are after your knives. Good luck.

George I agree with most of the points you raise, my country has become too much of a nanny state. People are becoming less responsibly for their own actions and expect the state to look after them. But knifes really do need to be removed from the streets here as too many morons carry them and indiscrimentally use them. These people have turned into barbarians... they do not discriminate, they will mug an old woman, and old man, a sick person.. they have ZERO morals.
I agree with what Brian said and what a lot of you have said, I too would like to see those tossers that Jomiel mentioned removed from the Gene Pool, they do not have a place in a civilised society with behaviour like that. My point was that firing a moving car probably wouldnt be a great idea, that's all.
Anyway, let's not let these MORONS ruin your tanks giving.. Enjoy yourselves boys, and be safe.

i will always carry and dont give a crap what laws they pass to disarm the public. im not that stupid to be out and about with no protection to wait for the cops to come protect me.
dial 911 and get put on hold for 1 minute, cops arrive 20+ minutes later... thats a great comfort to know im protected like that in an emergency. Ill gladly take my own protection in my own hands.

Hehe... I second Brian.. I've had way too many people try to mess with me when I am driving my car... And I have actually had people seriously try to run me off the road... brake check me, follow me, etc... stupid idiots.
That being said.. I don't have a gun.. never really had a need for a gun as of yet..
If it were me in that video, I would have called the "authorities" first... lead the jerks on a goose chase while I wait for the "authorities" to arrive.
If the "authorities" didn't want to do anything... then I would be forced to take matters into my own hands...

that vidio was posted on here several months back. after much consideration i beleive that the majority here beleived the whole thing to be staged. in other words its fake. its amazing what some people will do for attention. in a real world that pickup could never have kept up with the beamer.

The rest of the world isn't very friendly. You can't ban guns in America, flat out it won't happen. You can restrict the hell out of them, but not ban. Because what comes next? No knives? No bats? No table legs? No anything that can be considered/used as a weapon? I don't own a gun but I do have a golf club and a nice thick length of cable in my car for my protection. Because in the event that some loony toon guy with road rage comes for me I can defend myself. Unless he has a gun.
