A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Replaced my 16" black mesh enkeis for these 17" Momo Corse wheels.
They're light weight, but not sure if I like them as much?

A:
Are the 16s for sale? As for the wheels I don't think they fit the lines of the car. They look like they should be on some 80 oldmobile no offense, but you asked what I thought. I would try to get the 16's back.

They actually make BLACK corse wheels and gunmetal, but I was kinda going for a different look. The old wheels are still in my possession, but sold to someone in the forum...sorry : (

Definitely OUT OF PROPORTION! The style rim doesn't fit the Z era.
The first thing people will notice about your car, is not the car or the nice paint job. It's going to be your new funny lookin' rims -> out of proportion.
You have a beautiful Z. Time to take the dress off the Z and put the black mesh wheels back on.
No offence, just my opinion. The first picture looks best.

i like the idea behind the wheels just not a big fan of the style.they do look a little better than the mesh wheels with the color of your car.if the mesh wheels were silver i would say definitely keep the mesh ones.nice Z though i like it!

Depends on the look your going for, I think both wheels look great! The mesh wheels "go with the car" more, but I do like the looks of the 17's on there. Thats the problem with older cars I think, they always have tiny wheels!!
A:
I want those 16" enkie's! If anyone has a set to sell please email me. I'm only interested in the 16"s.
I think you car looks real nice, obviously by my first statement I like the enkie's better though.

I think they look okay. I'm running silver 18 Volk Te37 knock-offs, but I still think the s30 looks better with a wheel design of the same era like Watanabes, Work Equips, Longchamps, etc...

When I opened up the thread, the first picture was visible and I thought WOW, what a great looking Z! I hadn't even read the wording in the post yet. After I read about the wheels and scrolled down, I thought, Hmmm... something isn't right about the proportions of the car now. Unfortunately, your car (IMHO) went from great to good with your new wheels. It's still a beautiful car, but the new wheels don't compliment the car as well as the Enkei's did.

What makes it look out of place are the bumpers.
If you took off the bumper blocks and straightened and seamed up the front and rear bumpers so they were nice a smooth then powdercoated them black everything would come together.
Have to lose the rubber edging of course.
Clearing the front and rear running lights would help too.
But only if you are trying to update the look. When meshing two eras together it just doesn't always work. The small subtle things affect the look.

Looks nice both ways. I think modren wheels can look pretty darn spiffy on older Z cars.

I agree with Seattle. I like the Momos. mesh wheels are hideous. clean the car up like the one that Zoobee posted and you're in business.
If all were equal, none would be strong.

Black with a polished lip mmm...
But if you cleaned it up like ZinSeattle said I think it'd be killer. Need to drop that extra inch of height aswell!

I believe it's A14. It's the 350 Z LeMans Sunset color. Thus the 350 Emblems on the pillar : ) They stick on. I've got the same wheels in gunmetal coming in tomorrow to try on and see if they fit better. Decisions, decisions.

No problem with either of the wheels, but the "rubber ducky" antenna has to go. Any metal ant. would be better. But then again, the car looks nice anywho.
