Has anyone else seen the show "Gullwing at Twilight" about John Fitch driving a 300SL at Bonneville during Speed Week 2005? It was on my local PBS High Def channel and I thought it was great! Good background on Fitch (one of America's greatest drivers of the 50's and 60's) as well as running top speed competitions at Bonneville.
The Benz was owned by some Michigan zillionaire, and he requested that Fitch drive it in an attempt to break the class record of 170 mph.

Saw it on the Speed cable channel a few wks. ago. Nice.
