I love the mad rush of people that buy flowers today at twice the price of normal. Lines of people just having to buy something, anything.
Blue, That is NOT what the U.S. mothers day is about. People that do not know what it's about (like Christmas, Easter, etc) go out and buy stuff.
Go to church, pray for peace, respect life.
That's the best celebration people can do for other people.

that we think of her and still hold her dear to our hearts. Doesn't matter if you are 6 or 60, our Moms are always the reason we exist. There is not a more special bond in life than the one we share with our Mothers.
She just needs to be thought of and reminded that we care. Doesn't matter how you do that, just do it!
I sent my Mom a desktop decoration that she got to enjoy all week in her office. It was a vase that played the Stevie Wonder song "I just called to say I love you!". I sent her a phone-a-gram of that song many years ago when work assisngment would not permit me to see her on Mother's Day.
When she called to thank me after receiving, we both cried from the memory.
Never hurts to let someone special in your life know how much they mean to you, even if it is buying the traditional, overpriced, Hallmarked marketing crap.
My wife lost a grandmother this past week, her family now only has memories of this mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
I have already witnessed the pain in my wife's eyes after talking to our oldest son this morning and finding out that his work responsibilities will not allow a visit this weekend. She made him feel good about himself and that everything was okay. Then she went out on the porch and cried from a broken heart.
Ain't Mom's great!!!!!!! They give us life, teach us about life, patch us up when life kicks our a55, and then understands when we do totally stupid stuff. No matter what we do, we always have a Mother's love.
That is truly a GIFT that needs returning this weekend.
If you are still blessed with a Mom, make a memory this weekend. You want ever regret it...................................
Oh yeah, I am taking my Mom for a ride in the Z on Sunday after dinner. She is also going to take a ride in my son's "new" ZX.
Get this, she said she was looking forward to it.....................(lol)

My wife would always get pissed cause I wouldnt sign the card for her mother. Im like um she aint my mother!
Then shes upset cause I dont get her anything for mothers day and im like, well your not my mother either!
Some people really take some of these "special" days way too seriously.

all women should be celebrated on mothers day. i wish my girlfriend a happy mother's day even though we don't have any kids.
