A&Q about 350Z
Q:
My faithful winter and rain "beater" is a 1988 Toyota Tercel with 88,000 miles on it. Within the last year it started developing rust along the bottom of both sides of the car. It has spread like wild fire!!
See the pictures below.
My question is this: Is there a way for me to at least stop it from spreading futher? I don't really care if it looks bad, so long as it doesn't spread further and continue to get worse.

cut it out and weld in new patches .. but that is probably not what you want to hea .. use por15 or simular stuf fto slow it down..

It's been developing for more than a year, it's just looking like a wildfire to you. Might be a fun practice car to learn how to weld in new steel.

Serious rocker rot. Not worth the effort, considering the millions made and likely less rusted ones out there. If it bothers you, sell the car.

Thanks for the advice everybody! I may just hold onto it while it's in good shape and get rid of it when it gets out of control. I bougt the car for $300 in great shape (pre-rust) with only 64,000 miles on it. The guy thought it was hosed but it just had bad gas in the gas tank, lol. I've definitely got more then my money's worth in the 4 years since then.
