Not a few days after seeing the engines sitting in a Museum, we saw actual examples in use out on the Dry Lakebed.
G-35 with Q45 IRL power!
And the Engine...
So for all you guys who want more power from your G-Car, the Q45 is a fit, judging from these photos. Hell, for that matter the fit is fine with a surplus IRL mill as well....
Who's building the first street version?
These guys were in the lineup behind us during staging, thought that was a neat little setup they had there.

old news....
they did it back in 2000 with an IRL motor and a Q45 SEDAN.
I bet the coupe was a bit quicker. looks a little more slippery, dont you think? lol

1980 280zx with a mildly ported N47 maxima head, 60mm TB, -C- stamp 256 degree camshaft, and a 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust. yeah, its quick, and yeah, its a 2+2. NOW with MSandS_E power!

The Q45 made 175 on it's one and only pass down ElMirage during their rookie qualification several years ago. That car is now in a VERY sad state of affairs, I have photos of it taken last week that would make you cry!
The Q45 engine and transmission from the gold car was transferred to the Red G35.
They were not as fast as with the Q45.
At least not this past weekend, who knows what the future holds for them anyway.
You will notice that both cars have the same number. That indicates something, you know!

It should fit nicely in a 350Z as well. The second engine comes in the FM plaform cars stock stock in the FX45 and M45. No suprise to me that it fits.
I'm still waiting to see the Titan version of the engine in a car.
