HLS30277628..engine#L28-051434...'76 coupe..paint code 307 w/white interior and 4-speed. I'm the original owner in Pittsburgh 2/28/76...sold in Baltimore in 1986 w/160k...had near-perfect drivetrain and interior(even original fuses and one clutch). Practically gave it away cheap, probably ended up a parts car due to body rust. Remained Z-less for another 16 years while kids and grandkids grew. Back in the saddle again. Now my kids enjoy a Z with me...say it was ahead of its time.

They're right, the Z's were ahead of their time in a lot of ways. Hope you find that 76. I think it would be cool to see my old 81 from high school again. I know it's in TX around the Fort Hood area and last I saw it someone had put a turbo interior in it and put carbs and a 5 speed in. It was pretty rough the last time I saw it and the owner at that time even let me driver her again, but it just wasn't the same. Still nice to know someone is enjoying it.

swe280Z, do you happen to have a picture of your car with a good view ofthose AVID 215/60s?
I'm about to order new tires and am considering that size to replace my 195/70 14s on stock 14" wheels.

An amateur trying to restore the Z. I should have taken the blue pill!

Sorry I don't have a digital camera. They stick out just enough to be noticable and rub slightly in the back on harsh bumps. If I had to do over, I'd go one size narrower in the front because the steering is pretty tough. They really stick like glue and rarely squeel. Very quiet and comfortable too. Hard to beat for the price.

on my 77 i'm running 215/60 up front on 14x6 enkies and 225/60 out back on same wheels. no scrubbing but the wheels have a +15 offset. i wanted the 225's all around but with that offset they just did touch the strut tubes...oh well, when i burn the 225's off i'll probably put in 215s.
