A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Just arrived here in Bangkok last night and wanted to drop a line and say howdy. Haven't seen any Zs yet but I have seen a bunch of old bluebirds and a few older celicas. There are car shops everywhere out here but unfortunately not within walking distance from the Hotel. Looks like most of them are just wheels, exhausts and stereos.
I have heard there is a shop out here that has a few Skylines on display in the main lobby, any of the world travelers on here have any idea of where it might be at or any other decent shops??? I will be out here for the next month and would like to try and find it...

So is this a business or pleasure trip? ;) I'm still holding down the fort for you in 29. I actually found another guy who has a Z and is on this forum that is stationed in 29. I am trying to locate him but he is no easy to track down.

I haven't been to Bangkok in years. You'll have a great time, I can assure you. If you have the opportunity, take the river boat tour (the long, narrow boats with the long prop shafts). And go to one of the kick boxing matches. If you like lobster, and providing it's still open, have dinner at Joe's Tavern. Also, try the Emerald Room - great dining. I don't remember how to get to either of those places, but a taxi driver could probably help you out.
If your girl likes colored gemstones, you use to be able to get some great buys in Bangkok, especially on star saphires.

Thanks for the info, Over here on business, controlling all the air coming in for the exercise. Luckily we have the weekend off so we get a chance to get out and do some sight seeing.
It's been about 16 years since the last time I was over here. Doesn't look like a much has changed. There are quite a few older japanese cars driving around, some of them pretty nice.
Hot is not the word. I am working up one hell of a sweat just typing this. I would have liked to have been back there for the MSA show. Anyone have any pictures posted yet?

Probably one of those "Cobra Gold" excursions last time, eh? First wave, Cobra Gold, 8X??? First time back since the "Nam pullout..
Got a hat somewhere... Nice Cobra on it.
I should get it out and give it to JeffP, since he has a fixation on Snakes recently...

Cobra Gold is the one. Then and now. I think the driving is actually worse now though. The little Tuk Tuks pretty much drive where ever there is room. And still blasting smoke as they zip on by...
