Could this work?

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Just got this in an E-mail... is it possible?
Locked your keys in your car ???? Well, this might help.
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone on your (or someone else's) cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the other person at your home press the unlock button of your key fob (clicker), holding it near the phone on their end. Your car doors will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object you could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk!).

It will work on some cars depending on the type of key fob and car in question. Mythbusters even proved it one one of their shows for all you non-believers.
You guys ned to get educated before you spout off your comments.

Or you can use a camera phone, ask your buddy to take a picture of the key at home and then show it to the car (in front of the car where it can see with the headlights). If the car recognizes the key, it will open itself.

NO NO NO NO NO. There is no range outside of the voice frequencies of the cell phone that is broadcast. They intentionally remove anything except voice, and even then it's compressed.

Oh, if it was on TV it must work.

I am sorry but radio waves are not transmitted through cell phones - or any communications device. Radio waves are the carrier signal not the signal itself.
How exactly do you expect a speaker on a cell phone capable of generating 100 to 3000 hz sound waves to generate Mhz or Ghz radio waves?
