I ran a 8.2 at 83.5 MPH that run. I wish The filmer would of got the launch in the vid, as it was a 1.73 60 foot.

Just calculated the Estimated 1/4 mile times and it figured
12.8 @ 106.7 MPH.

Well, I ran 13.05 at 1500 Feet evelvation with a small header and 4.11 open rear end, and now I installed a 4.4 posi with a nismo 1.750" header and 3" ex, and it was NOTICABLE faster so I belive it :) And this was at nearly sea level so it seems sorta accurate.

Actually he is very close in his calculations.His speed might be closer to 105.0 mph though
My run on street tires was a 8.24 @ 85.72 with a 12.804 @ 107.26 mph so with his 8.2 1/8 mile would indicate a run close to a 12.8-12.9.

Hey brian you have mail. I will be the first to say you have a fast car man. I have to be honest i was kind of suprised. At any rate the drags were really fun. Hopefuly next year we can have more guys show up and we will see what everyone is really made of. what i do to caluculate my 1/4 mile time off the time slips from irwindale is multiply your et by 1.58!

Actully the 4.375 didnt 60 foot any better than my 4.11 gear. Yea First gear last about 1.5 seconds, then second is about 2.5 seconds, LOL. Faster than that? Thats over a second quicker than you bubbles! And trust me to go from 13.9 to 12.9 is SUPER hard, Trust me I KNOW! LOL. Yea you should see the lanch right off the lights, vid doesnt really show it but it launches HARD, I love it.
Oh but according to STEVES280 I dont have ANY torque below 4 grand, HAHAHAHAHA, I love it!

Why does your car squat so much? I though you just put in all that fancy rear suspension stuff fron AZC?

Maybe because he WANTs the squat -- to throw the weight from the front back onto the rear wheels to increase traction. At least that's what I've always heard. I'm not into draggin at all. 1 fast?

Yep you WANT a some what soft rear end on a drag car, atleast a z that has IRS of this speed. If not you will LOOSE traction, AND, with SLICKS when the power and torque hits you WILL have weight transfer if the tires do not spin.

I actually improved my 60ft times consistently after going to stiffer rear springs and struts. I set my Tolkico's to 3 on the rear at the track.
The fronts are set on 1.
The front lifts and tranfers the weight to the back tires. If the rear is too soft alot of the weight transfer is wasted in downward spring compression instead of downward pressure on the rear tires.
I have gotten 1.81 60 ft's with an open 3.9 rear end and cheap street tires with this setup on a well prepped track.
If the track sucks I still normally get low 1.9's.
Before I switched to the stiffer rear springs and shocks I normally got high 1.9's on street tires.

Yea I have 250 In Lb springs in the rear and Tokico rears are only 200. I run my settings on 1 in rear 3 in front. Works well, as I ran a 1.7 60 foot.

You need to change them around.
Run them 1 in the front and 3 in the rear.
I have run hundreds of times and I can tell you from personal experience that my 60ft's increase when I go from 1 to 3 in front.
3 on the front WILL not allow weight transfer.
I was pulling 1.70's on slicks and that was with a 3.06 1st gear ans 3.9 rear.
With a 4.37 rear gear and slicks you should be able to pull 1.6's

Well, I probably could run 1.6's but since I was 400 miles from home, I was only launching at 5k, and when Im at my home track, I usually launch at 7k. Actually Norm, I tried a stiffer rear and softer front and seen no gain. I guess each car is a tad different.

That's strange did you try more than one run with the fronts on #1?
My front end barely even lifts up with my Tokicos on 3. I spin like mad if I leave it on 3 in the front.

Well your weight is A LOT heavier than my 2430 lb. race weight so that may be why mine spins on 3 and your's doesn't.
You need to put that motor in a light weight 240 and you'd be in the LOW 12's!
