A&Q about 350Z
Q:
i just got my new hella h4 convershion kit in and installed and i must say they look great but the lights i recived with them are just super white. Dose any one know where i can get super bright blue hellas? I found them on e-bay but some of them are like 40.00 and some are like 200..... whats the diffrence? Thanks guys.
A:
Why would you want blue bulbs?
A:
not blue bulbs just the hella h4 lights that have a blue tint to then. I think it looks good.
A:
The blue tint cuts down on the usable light. Are you suggesting that it's better to look good than to be able to see at night?

Yep........ I live in a city with plenty of light on the roads. Not that I would but I could drive with just my running lights on and see just fine. My Z is not my daily driver so I rely don’t take her out at night but I want blue tint Hellas and I am going to do the “headlight down conversion” (don’t know what it is called). So can anyone recommend where to get the lights?
A:
I carry a bulb called "Ultra Blue". (They are very blue)
$29.98 a pair plus shipping.
A:
how bright are thay?
A:
Speaking of bright lights -
does anyone else have a problem with these coming at you and blinding you as though the driver had his lights on high beam?
I think these super bright lights are a hazard to other drivers - so please consider that because that blinded driver could cause a head-on collission.
Maybe consider lowering them a little or have a dimming option for on coming traffic.

if they are angled right there should be no problem.
A:
The H4 replacement bulbs in 'Ultra Blue' are 60/55 watts.
Headlight aiming and alignment are necessary any time you change / upgrade your lighting.
The H4 bulb is designed to have a strong cut off beam when in dipped / low and is one of the reasons I really like E marked H4 lights.
If adjusted correctly, a good quality H4 headlight and housing should not distract oncoming traffic.
Unfortunately there is all kinds of junk out there with no certification, or claims made that are false on auction sites and by other mass merchandisers.
Caveat Emptor!
My recommendation has always been to buy the best you can afford and keep them adjusted correctly.

I bought straight H4 halogen bulbs from here..... they have all the other variations too... prices are great... mine work great and haven't had any problems. Lots of high watt and odd combos too:

Thanks for the order!
I've already shipped them to you today.
Remember; these are blue!

Watch out for the po-po, sometimes they get a little shifty with the whole blue tint thing. Its enforced about as much as the window tint issue, which is fairly sporadic in my area but I believe in most states having lights with a blue tint that aren't OEM will get you a ticket.
