Stock cars getting ready for their race.
The GTP ZX-T was an inspiring sight! It absolutely TORCHED the track and it flew by. Amazing to watch this turbo behemoth run. Sounded like a spaceship when it boosted by!
The SMZ Twin turbo also raced. These turbos boosted at 25+ PSI.
Got brakes?!
Here they come!
Very cool classic Bugatti racer
On Sunday we got to take our Z's out on the track for a couple of "slow" laps. Man - what a rush!
Hope you enjoyed the pics!

"The Nissan GTP-ZX won the GTP class though"
are you sure? I thought the Porcshe Prototype kept the 1st spot?
...
A:
Nope, that's when you ran off with the WD. Whatever the prototype was, it was running a Chevy engine. The "Chevy" braked much better than the ZX, but the ZX was faster in a straight line. When the Chevy ran into lap traffic, the ZX caught up quick, and just in time to scoot by the lap traffic in the Chevy's wake and get on its tail. This time he squeezed past, but lost the spot not long after. When they stopped for their mandatory 5 minute pit, the ZX came out riding the Chevy's ass, then was past him on the next lap and stayed there till the end :-)
Thrilling race!

Actually, the stock cars were one of the most entertaining things on the course. They absolutely hauled ass.

Cup cars are actually a blast to watch on a road course or a toilet bowl like Bristol. But yes, the big Pocono/Michigan leftie turnies get stale real quick.
