ground effects

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I am looking to add ground effects for my 75 280 Z. Does anyone have any recomendations, pro or con?

A front lip spoiler will streamline the air to go around the car rather than under the car which will make it more stable at higher speeds, and should return a MPG or two.
Side ground effects, from everything I have heard and read, is mainly for show with little improvement in aerodynamics.
A rear spoiler actually might hurt fuel mileage a shade by undoing everything the front lip spoiler has acheived. It will add rear down force at higher speeds, which might lift the front end, and reduce top speed.
Black, bumperless, 78 Z with MSA superturbo system, K/N cone filter, ported intake, and exhaust manifolds.....15.9 @87 mph.

Don't think he was referring to neon underbody lights, more like aerodynamic ground effects :P

Pro: help beyond 90mph
con: Don't help till 90mph

^ agree but to that pic my buddy was actually going to do that to a custom bike he built which was pretty cool in the first place

Thats A O.K. Ace.
Ground effects
1) Lower car 1.5 - 2 inches.
2) Front Chin Spoiler with rubber apron.
3) Front lower pan from spoiler to front cross member.
4) Close off the front grill as much as possible - preferably a Gnose.
5) Make new floor pans - They should match the height of the rocker panels, flat and extend the length of the bottom of the under carriage in a smooth flowing linear stream line.
6) Tuck anything up that is hanging down below the floor pan level.
7) Use a back end aero pan under neath the gas tank.
8) Vent the top of the front wheel fenders
9) Vent the hood - can be one or a combination of a louver style hood, deep hood cross vent just behind the radiator or vent the engine bay through the back of the wheel wells.
10) Headlight bucket covers.
11) Rear spoiler.
In short you will end up with a race car.
This whole world smells bad, I'd buy another if I had
back what I paid for another mother@#$%@# in a motorcade
