I finally took the time and figured out how to post pics.Here is a pic of my 1980 2+2 n/a.I have an 83 l28et engine and plan on doing the swap in the next 2 weeks.If anyone near the South bend Indiana could help me out with the swap,Please let me know.The wiring harness is the only thing that seems puzzling to me.

The harness part isn't so bad. I just took out my harness to clean everything up for my turbo+megasquirt install and it wasn't too hard. You just gotta make sure and label everything you disconnect.

Putting the 83 turbo harness is what i ment to say.I have a haynes maual,but the wiring charts are in black and white.

get a factory service manual-- the wiring diagrams in mine are in color and a lot easier to follow than the ones in my haynes book. i got my service manual on ebay for about 30.00.

This is my parents house and yes i do have the funds,but i love working on cars and would take great pride in knowing i did the swap myself.Everything i have researched about the swap seems pretty straight forward,except the turbo harness.I am looking for a fsm.As i was told,the wiring diagrams are in color.As far as upgrades go,i plan on leaving the car stock for now.It is a 2+2 and i am going to look for a nice 280zxt coupe for my z #2.

Das280zx.........Thanks for the helpful info on your web page.My motor came from an automatic as well and was wondering if you put the oil cooler on your 5 speed and how?If not did you thread the oil line inserts with two nuts?

I didn't use the oil cooler. I took the nipple off my n/a block and put it on the turbo block and run a filter like on the n/a. Only problem is there is no bypass valve in the block of the turbo motor, but I don't think it matters too much, I could be mistaken though.
