Well the Boy has the Z fever?

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I went home at lunch yesterday and found Shawn on the front porch with his alloy wheels from the ZX. It was pouring down the rain, but he was cleaning his wheels with some SOS pads and some wheel cleaner. I was proud as punch and grinnin from ear to ear when I spotted Mama. "Did you see that mess on my front porch?". We cleaned her porch before she got home from a town trip later that evening. That's the cleanest that porch has been in ten years.....lol.
Anyway, we still have to fix his spark advance. Finish up the brake overhaul (rear calipers have whooped my tail) and get alot of cleaning done on the interior. We still have had no luck on the heater blower, but thanks for all the tips. We won't give up. Searching the tech area for ZX specific stuff is a little more challenging, but you usually find something you will need later on anyway.
Trying to get him ready to go to the Dragon with me in 3 weeks. We have a club cruise and cookout coming up in 2 weeks and it would be great if we get a " practice run" that weekend. He gets his DL on Tuesday (16th Bday) so he really wants this puppy running. Between a very busy work week and sorry a55 weather, I think at times we are taking 3 steps back and 2 steps forward.
I will post some pics of before and after progress as soon as we get there.
We're having fun!!!!

On your heater blower, maybe the blower mtoor is just shot. Drop it and check it out. If it is, there's a honda blower motor that will fit it that blows more air. If it's good, I believe there's a relay to the left of the assembly under the dash taht controls it.
On your brakes, what's kicking your butt on the rears? Do you have a caliper cube? Makes it a lot simpler to turn the pistons in on the rear calipers with the right tools. Advance sells the caliper cube for like $5.

I am picking up the brake tool today at lunch, discovered that reading the archives last night. Never have worked on calipers designed like these. I should have done more research on the front end. Doh! Just thought these were common caliper/pad assemblies. Hind sight is so clear......
On the blower motor, that is my next step. I just moved on to some of the other bigger issues. Since this thing has the dreaded Auto Climate control, we may just yank the whole thing and get a manual from the Z Barn. Going to talk to Roger today if I can catch him at the desk.

I have the Auto Climate Control in my 81. It's a lot more complex than the manual, but it actually works well. I'm missing on spring for the hot/cold diaphram so when it switches to cold I have to reach under the dash to change it back to hot for the defrost. Aside from that everything works well on it. I found the micro fiche at CarFiche.Com has some really good references and information on the system.
