With or without a warranty that car should go for the money asked in my opinion. It's a part of (a winning) Nissan racing history.
With that said, does anyone have any video clips of these Z31 race cars in action? As a child in the 80's I remember watching them race at Riverside (CA) speedway. They sounded beautiful at speed.

JohnH, WTF are you talking about? This is a fully prepped and running GT1 championship car that was driven by an Oscar winning acting legend. A large amount has already been offered, and the car will more than likely fetch quite a bit. This car is definitly one of the most famous Z cars. Retarded. Oh, and looking at the comp list above there are several cars priced higher with zero racing pedigree.
1972 240Z always in progress

The name, Bob Sharp Racing, along with the Newman 300ZXT, the 280ZXTT, and the 280 (240 w/280 taillights) was purchased back in the early 90s. It came with office files, racing suits, hundreds of spare parts and FG bodies and molds. He also owns Tom Cruise's showroom stock 300ZX which is being restored for the Newfoundland Targa in September.
The Sharp/Newman 300ZXT (single turbo) is waiting on a custom crank shaft before being restored next year. That's the 300ZXT (not the one in Wilton) that is shown in the famous picture flying over the hill with flames shooting out of the exhaust pipe....
But the one in Wilton is the real deal too and will likely sell for a sum higher than $125k. The vintage race car market isn't effected by gas prices or salary issues. The people interested in obtaining these cars are not worried about their next meal.
