A&Q about 350Z

Well, I was on a search this afternoon for a daily driver I had a few people that I was waiting on to call me back and only one did. I would have rather had the civic I was looking at but such is life. I ended up getting a 85 S10 Blazer. With a 355 SBC with flat top pistons and 2.02/1.60 valves, with a 292 cam and a 2800/3200 stall also has a edlebrock 750 on top of a Edelbrock Performer RPM manfold and a powerglide with a nice B&M shifter. Fresh motor with 4k on it. So for a total of $1250 it was mine. Sounds perfect well almost as with any used car there will be issues. Someone managed to lose the key to it so I have no key so its real easy to start needless to say. Also it has a nice lack of exhaust no mufflers just headers into a pipe thats about one foot long. The last problem that I didnt realize till later the windsheild wipers dont work. Which really kind of sucks because its raining its ass off and im at a friends house . Also it has a slight oil leak from the valve covers and the dipstick tube needs to be fully secured to the block because it can be pulled out. But for $1250 and a truck that I can put $1500 into and run some low 11s high 10s im very happy, though ive just got to make sure it doesnt end up faster then my Z.

That is going to be one fast toy if you get it all working right. I'd double check all the work that the previous owner did as it sounds as if he didn't quite know what he was doing. I'm sure there are websites out there that have many S10/SBC buildups that will be able to help you out. Most people on here are too narrow minded to understand there is more out there than just imports.

Well, about the only thing in my mind he didnt do right was really match the intake manifold to the cam. It really needs like an RPM Air Gap. It also had a TH350 trans in it at one point so I understand why the gear isnt right in it. With it being a glide im probably gonna end up with a 4.56 in it. Also me and a friend have a rolling chasis of a 280zx and when we get the body straight on it weve got a good motor to put in it now.
