A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I decided to break down and buy a set of tokico allumina schocks for the front of the car on Ebay.
They had buy it now, so I did. I paid through PayPal and I thought that was the end of it I would get my parts in a few days.
Well I did not get my parts or any other email from the supplier/store so I email them.
Here is what I got:
sorry, your springs was in back order but we have ordered it from Tokico already
If you have any further question, please feel free to contact us again.

So I was not to happy about that email. I haden't heard from them in a few days, so I sent this today:
I got your email regarding the SHOCKS, NOT SPRINGS, that these parts were out of stock by your company. I would like to know if this is common practice for your company to list and sell products you do NOT have stock to ship. I am not to pleased to find that I have paid you the cost of the parts and shipping as per your terms, and you have not fufilled your obligation to send my product oput to me. This is the last email I will send you asking for a ship date and tracking number. I am about to file a fraud claim with PayPal and with Ebay if you don't produce your product in the next few days. My recommendation, DONT LIST PRODUCTS, SELL THEM, WITHOUT HAVING A PRODUCT TO SELL! Let me know when the parts are to be shipped and the tracking number. Ebay number 270009828366
TOTAL CRAP! if you are selling on ebay you better have the parts you are selling, pisses me off.
So we shall see if this turns up to be another scam I have gotten.

Yeah , I'd be pissed too! THANK YOU Jeff!! I like to know when people are having problems with E bay and Pay Pal since a friend of mine (with a Z!) SUED Pay Pal sucessfully and was told TO NEVER TELL OTHERS of the fraud that happened to him! I buy a lot of stuff on ebay and LATELY PAY PAL takes their sweet time in paying the "seller." They used to pay instantly....??! Norm K

Quit talking out ur ass Shiro, 97.5% Positive feedback after 13,540 sales is pretty damn good!
I've bought stuff from that seller before with NO problems, you just lucked out. I'm sure they'll fix you up and make it right...
If someone rips you off, and if you have half a brain and use paypal or credit card etc almost always you will be able to get your money back.

97.5 on ebay sucks ass.
If feedback for ebayers who are powersellers is not above 99% then you should not do business with them.

If feedback for ebayers is not above 99% then they cant be powersellers anyway...
There are far worse out there that's for sure! If you dont like dealing with non-powersellers like alot of people dont then u would obviously avoid that seller period. I personally have got stuff from that seller before without an issue, but like I said anyone who has half a clue will be able to get their money back if they get jacked.

I'd be angry too. But ramming large rubber chickens down someones throat seems a bit harsh. Maybe a swift kick in the jewels is in order though. Paul

Its very very very common for parts suppliers to not have it in stock....Hell when I used to sell parts I ordered from a wholesaler and had it drop shipped....I had over 15,000 parts available at my fingertips, but wouldn't know if it was out of stock until I went to actually order it.
If you want every seller to have every part in stock when they list it, you would say goodbye to every company out there except for Jegs and Summit.....and even they don't have it all in stock, they frequently order straight from the factory and have it drop shipped....MSA does the same thing as well.
A:
There's no excuse for that crappy reseller. The fact is, they have HORRIBLE feedback and that's the first thing to look at when seriously considering buying from ebay. If anyone DID look at their feedback and STILL decided to buy, they probably deserve to get screwed. Oh, and don't worry about people like 300zxt. He was trying to push your button from his first reply. Besides, 300's aren't nearly as cool as the early Z's, right?

Were these cheaper than going with the jdmwerks guy? Seems everyone has been happy with him.
Posting who you delt with would make this useful, otherwise it does seem just like a rant vs. you trying to warn of us a bad seller. I still don't know for sure whom you went with, is it the place DMS linked too?
Sorry your having problems, I've yet to use ebay or buy from very many people because of stuff like this.

I see, my bad. Now are these cheaper than the jdmwerks prices?

Someone had a bad eBay purchase experience? I'M SHOCKED!

I guess what I find especially misleading is that the ad listed that there are 20 available. To me that would mean the vendor has them in stock. If the vendor had zero in stock and was counting on Tokico for their inventory, they could of listed 10,000 available for all it mattered.
