ok guys, heres the EPA results---
361 miles on one tank of gas---average speed was around 90pmh, 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION, and a full 15.2 gallons of gas---this was SDS running on open loop, which now that i look at it was dumb... on the way back, im going closed loop
i only had 3 incursions into the 1XX mph range, for about two to three minutes.....overall, it was a sucess!! i have a question though! When we got to UTI (car tech school) a bunch of guys wanted to see my engine. i poped the hood, and guess what? my alternator belt had:
a. flipped upside down
b. chaffed
c. fallen off the pulley
thank god my custom pulley has a lip on it! o'rilleys must have given me too big of a belt, that was my bad. the MSA chrome tensioner was all the way out too. so i stopped at advanced and got a tiny belt, now all is well..
Team Zleep, phone number one more time. this thursday we will be back in orlando, and if you get some Z guys together, we can go out to dinner maybe????

im guessing A. fan belt flipped upside down ( maybe improper a. belt
b. tension
c. pulley
really your mpg should be better than that , my experience is that a built engine will actually get better mpg than a stock one-up to a certain point in building of course. a full blown built for top fuel will not. but a good street - strip build ,tuned properly will get better mpg . the motor is working less to acheive the same speed as a stock motor.

Belt flipped upside down to big ? check your belt tension man !! to tight and it can wreck teh bearings in the alt .. to loose ( i.e. slipping) and it can melt the soldering of one .. they should have 1cm slack both ways.

I was 21 when they dropped the drinking age down to 18. To many DUMB kids F&*#ed that up so it they raised it back to 21. But when I was in the Army in LA you could by NEAR BEER at 18... Drink all night and never get a buzz!

i called my dad and told him he should be proud of me for the two girls----he kinda laughed and said the word wasnt really "proud"
so so far, we have only filled my tank up once--and ive got "guage reading" a litte more than 1/4 of a tank....i think its only going to take three fill-ups for this trip, thats great! $47 for a full tank of premium.
im having so much fun! ill take some nice pictures of all of us today, and some females and post them up later......
ohh wierd story- so last night, we walked outside, and someone was in my car...WTF. i didnt know who it was, nor did i talk to them, i just stood there and watched them. then my battery was dead this morning....hmmm---ohh well. good think its an orbital!

as for the battery, i realized that i was showing some people my car, and i turned the parking lights on, and i dont remember turning them off---

..maybe the dead battery saved your car from missing....you might come from a good enighborhood etc (but somewhere else?)....and I REALLY do think you'll care if it comes up missing (unless you have insurance based on an appraisal or something).....maybe those two girls weren't after you, but your keys......ever cross your mind? I wouldn't wish to be as naive as I once was....I had an apt. broken into and when I arrived home they waited
til I was in til they took the 'ol stang I arrived back with!....now I'm not so careless where I put my extra keys! Luckily, the gas gauge was broke like me and they only made it across town til it ran out of gas; they jimmied with the ignition switch and broke it as well as trying to jump it with the solenoid, but ended up on foot again....they were caught.
My neice had a person walk right up to her new 4-Runner a month a half
ago...tossed a big rock right thru the passenger window, grabbed her purse off the seat and off on foot ...This was on Peachtree St.;
occurred two nites in a row; left $4000 damage to the glass, leather, & steering whl. and she was just stopped at a traffic lite!....I'd think this is even too close to your home, suburbs or not. Dont' take Atlanta lightly!
....Nonetheless, cheers to you! Feels great to get work done on a car and take trips, huh?
