So do you think I can make LOTTTS of z car parts NOWWWW?????

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

So Look what we just got, yea its not brand new but it will do anything those can do. Its got a 4th axis, and a 6000 RPM spindle, BT40 taper, 30 tool holders, etc. 40x20x20 axis and 15" diameter on the rotary table. I will NOW be able to produce intake manifolds on a some what mass produced level. All the parts, and machining you guys have seen me do from here has been on manual machines.

Oh programing isnt new to me, plus, I have LOTS of good friends that do it all day every day. Smart cam is what were gonna use for smaller stuff. I use ALOT of solidworks stuff, so might use Feature cam to import those files and convert. As far as small programing G codes arent that bad :)

The Fourth axis is a rotary table basicly that can be mounted verticly or horizontaly. It has a 15" dimeter chuck/mounting plate and has a center on the other side of the table, for making angled cuts without changing into another setup, like angled injector mount without using a angle plate on the regular table of the Machine. It rotates any direction, CCW, and CW in a full circle.

1 fast Z describes the 4th axis better. When I replied I changed my post heading to reflect what I was talking about. Either way I wish I had access to the machine!

I agree with sweet. Your not goingto make any real money doing Z parts on that thing. Got to get out into the real world with the ricers in newer cars.

A:

i say if its used and paid off , make us the z parts, you know what we need, lol screw the ricers and newer cars lol

Dang you can probably do a DOHC head with that. Just make it with two outer walls (exhaust side and intake side) that weld on so that the inner piece can have coolant passages, chambers, valve guide holes and ports machined.
Aluminum flywheels is another item. You will be rich! :)

We're making a 5 axis gantry router from scratch at work. I don't think we'll ever get it done.... Its huge though, something like 30x30x42, 18000 rpm spindle, x axis on the table, y z b and c axes on the head. Unfortunately I'll be done my workterm before its finished and won't get to see it in action.
I've been up to my ears in powermill and g-code for the last 4 months...
